What can I expect? |
All behavior problems start for a reason. Understanding the cause of the birds behavior will normally lead us to the best approach in resolving it. Expect a multitude of questions from me. How? What? When? Where? Why? I will simply try to get a 360 degree vision of the problem before we proceed any further. This will start with our initial contact by phone and then continue through your home visitation.
The home visitation can last up to 2.5 hours. This enables me to be a part of the situation with your bird in its own home environment. I design a plan of action and talk you through your birds training program, showing you how to do anything you are not sure of or comfortable with. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have. A copy of my notes, the program and a fact and information booklet will be given to you to keep. I continue phone contact until the time of the next home visit.

New/Novice Pet Bird Owner Course |
Now you have got your new feathered friend home, you begin to realize, you know less about it then you thought. This course covers basic information you would need about your bird in order to keep him happy and healthy in his new home. How to socialize him into the family, food recipes, bathing, interactive play, basic behavior training, cage care, toys, illness detection and what to do about it, household dangers, first aid etc., are covered. This is a family time to learn about your new bird and how to handle it correctly.
Plan for family members to be present during this talk. The duration of the talk is not time limited, usually takes 2.5 hours and is done at your home.
